Ocean Sports opened its doors in Edmonton, Alberta on August 16, 1975 as Edmonton's second scuba diving store. In the ensuing thirty plus years, Ocean Sports has become one of Canada's largest scuba diving and water sport specialty stores. One of the cornerstones of our success is Ocean Club, our frequent buyer award program. All customers are automatically enrolled in the program, with a minimum initial purchase of $100. For every dollar spent in the store, you collect a point. Rewards of $50 to $500 worth of equipment are given to customers with 1000 to 5000 points. Not a mail order store...
Ocean Sports is not a mail order store; we are a full service, attention to detail and we won't do you wrong type of store. The majority of our customers live in within 100 miles of Edmonton.. Some of our best customers we see only once a year, and sometimes never as they live in areas of Canada not close enough to a professionally equipped store. Scuba diving, water skiing and wakeboarding are entities which require service on an ongoing basis. Training, rentals, and equipment service are vital parts to a full service store, and must be there after the sale. However there are many people in Canada who don't have a full service store close enough to them, and so Ocean Sports becomes their dealer.
